Life Will Set You Free
It's just like I've seen it
Up on the T.V. screen
Nothing more and nothing less
Like some cowboy dream
Up here on the mountain
Just north of N.Y.C.
A place that's close to heaven
And here I feel so free
I got a new brother and sister
They're are looking after me
They don't know me from Adam
But trust you'll find is free
Korean lady by the river
Picking Mulberries from a tree
Maybe one day we will meet again
When I return from across the sea
And she said: "Pick the berries from the highest branches
'Cos they're sweeter there..."

Dan says: "During my trip to the hippie mecca of Woodstock I stayed with a lovely couple in a wooden house in the woods for my time there... in fact it is depicted on the cover of the first Pacific Groove album,
From Stockwood To Woodstock. I wrote some words there and I even composed a melody on the piano, and you can hear this original version on my 2003 solo album, Pensamiento. But this version I like the best. Jason started strumming some chords on his guitar and I started singing, and this is it, apart from the great instrumental texturings on this track which is all Jason. Very fast rhythm makes it vibrant and celebratory."
Jason says: "I used a 2 pence piece as a plectrum when I played the bass guitar track in order to get that fast attack sound."
