I wake up in the morning
You're cuddled close to me
I pull wide the bedroom curtains
The sun shines in on me

'Cross the green fields to the moutains
It's a beautiful day
Later we'll take a gentle drive
Heading south along the bay

Started out from Sausalito
Passed over the Golden Gate
Headed on through San Jose'
It was getting late
Through Salinas and onward
To San Luis Obispo
On the coast at Santa Barbara
Made L.A before the Sun rose

I'm on the beach at midnight
We're running hand in hand
I can see the dark horizon
We're going to a far away land

In my mind we're in California
In my soul we're already there
In my heart we're in California
In my head I'm a Living there
