First stop was the Amtrak Station
People off a train, length of a nation
Head out East, 'cross Prairie Land
Almond and Pistachio trees looking grand

Tomato and Plum and Cotton as well
Leave it behind when we climb a hill
Sierra Nevada Mountain Range
Where Gold Prospectors came of age

Yosemite Valley look up at the Sky
Wondrous sheer mountains 2,000 feet high
Lovely clear water running through
Smell of the Pine trees follows too

We're climbing a hill with Yosemite Jim
We're down in the valley with Yosemite Jim
He said he's on a diet that's doin' him in
We're rolling on the road with Yosemite Jim
